Nick Stoddard – Veith/NECC: Overview of schedule, email list reminder to keep it moving around table, BBQ June 20th donation interest and details, MFM flyer given out for Summer hours, explains how roundtable works.

Kasia Tota – Housing and Development

Jen Lohnes- Salvation Army/Community Services: Beautification day June 16th, BBQ, Info session tables to advertise (Uniacke Square Area), Summer day camps (8 weeks Monday to Thursday), Away Camp.

Jan Catano – Community Health Board: Liaison between community and NSHA. Recruiting board members (preferably daytime), focus on food insecurity June 6th 2-hour meeting for anyone to come talk about collaborating.

Barry Schimel – Manager/Service Provider Relations (DCS): Provides information to help navigate DCS, current proposal calls for 2 pilot projects in employment support services (one in HRM and one outside HRM), Family in receipt of Income Assistance, 18-24, Job search and preparation. Organizations to say how they would do it. Deadline May 9th. Info online.
Rania -YMCA employee services: Job fair (60 employers), mini-fairs (upcoming is Reserves).

Matthew Ritchie – YMCA community integrationist: Works with Syrian Nova Scotians to help settle them, Report.

Elinor Crosby – Library: Plants to plates program (ecology action), food insecurity focus, afterschool snacks for programs, Renovations coming soon (making better space with bedbug management, front doors, lobby, community kitchen), MFM at Northwood future collaboration with library.

Phoebe Johnston – Halifax association for community living: Transition support and peer support program, self-advocating and workshops are coming up.

Suzy Hansen – Phoenix Youth Programs: Workshops on financing with RBC, Graffiti program (art), Mother’s Day event on May 12th during the day, May 30th workshop on digital parenting with TELUS, May 26th 9-5 beautification day.

Elizabeth Perry – Social Enterprise – Interpersonal Insights: Peer support for women, share ideas and events, online networking coming.

Gemma Coley – BRAVE: Parent support, girls. Had 192 this past year. 3 groups ending in July, apply soon.
Emily Sweeny: Family SOS: Summer Day Camps (12-17) more info coming. Social Enterprise opportunity for grades 7 to 12 / applications available.

Shelley Meisner – NSCC: Resource in community for meetings, technology, library, Community Justice Society – Restorative Justice at nscc, Lindell Smith Mon may 14th, Wellness session may 15th, Summer camps for coding with ArtTech, Family SOS Beehives, Learning and Playing together – Autism support. Summer camp with Autism as well at Akerly.

Jan Boswell – ED for Chebucto Links: Outreach program for seniors, referrals for 211. Looking for Volunteers to do things like maintenance and yardwork (Low Cost), ways to improve general health and wellbeing to keep senior independent and in their home, looking for ways to get information out to seniors.

Rene Boudreau– Caring and Learning Center: Mulgrave area, baby playgroup, Taekwondo for kids, community kitchen, knitting, craft nights, community socials, healthy beginnings, MFM this weekend/can contact crystal for delivery, beautification.

Alex MacKinnon – Art Therapy ended, Sheila Ago sessions, one on one counselling paid for up to 8 sessions, Brunch for mother’s day, Apple Kids program Hip hop volunteer search kids (7-12 years)

Evan Parker – Welcome housing and support services: New hours Mon to Thursday 8am to 10am, cooking, knitting, looking for new program ideas.
